About 283 Capital

At 283 Capital, we’re built on one core belief—great founders deserve great partners. We work closely with startup teams to raise the capital they need to scale, turning bold ideas into category-defining businesses.

We partner with founders as their trusted financial advisors, guiding them through the entire equity fundraising journey—from pitch to close.

Our team combines strategic insight, financial expertise, and a deep understanding of what investors seek. With hands-on experience working alongside founders, we know how to craft compelling narratives and close the right deals at the right time.

At our core, we believe fundraising isn’t just about capital—it’s about clarity, conviction, and building lasting relationships.

About the Founder

Rahul Singhal

Rahul Singhal is the founder of 283 Capital and brings over 15 years of diverse experience across startup advisory, structured finance, and private equity. He has advised early- and growth-stage startups across sectors—with significant experience in FinTech, InsurTech, LogisticsTech, and EdTech—helping them with strategic guidance, investor engagement, and capital raising.

Prior to founding 283 Capital, Rahul was part of Dexter Capital, a leading startup-focused investment bank, where he worked on equity and debt fundraising for startups.

Rahul holds a postgraduate degree from IIM Ahmedabad (2010) and a BTech from DAIICT. A numbers enthusiast at heart, he enjoys playing chess and going for a run whenever he gets the time.

Why 283?

At first glance, 283 might seem like just a number.
But for me, it’s home—the house I grew up in. The walls quietly witnessed my dreams, my stumbles, and my resilience.

283 gave me more than an address.
It gave me stability, clarity, and belief—the very foundation every founder looks for in the partners they choose to build with.

So when I started this firm, the name was clear.
283 Capital is a reflection of that belief—grounded, personal, and built to walk the journey with founders.

Additionally, 283 is quite a unique number—more about this in the blog.
